Compact Steel Structures. Built by Builders. Priced for Real People.

BaseBox comes from the same place SwiftBox does — a straightforward belief that good structures shouldn't cost a fortune. BuildSwift Modular was founded in 2023 in Santa Fe, New Mexico, from decades of hands-on experience in construction, design, property, and real-world building projects. We saw too many people priced out of useful, durable space — or paying too much for structures that simply weren't built very well. BaseBox grew out of the idea that a compact structure can be affordable without being disposable.

Designed Here. Built to Our Standards.

BaseBox was designed and developed by BuildSwift. Manufacturing is handled by our production partners overseas — one of the ways we're able to deliver this level of construction at an accessible price — but the product specifications, configuration, materials, and quality standards are ours. We work directly with our manufacturing partners and inspect our units for conformance with those requirements.

We're not a marketplace or a dropshipper. BaseBox is our product, and we stand behind it.

Our demo units are up in Santa Fe. If you want to see one in person before you buy, reach out.

Why Steel. Why This Price.

Many conventional backyard structures are wood-framed. We chose steel because we've spent decades in construction and know the advantages it brings to durability, repeatability, transport, and long-term maintenance.

We chose a hinged fold-out design because it ships efficiently and sets up fast. We chose a mono-slope roof so it is easy to catch and divert rainwater if wanted. Every decision was made to give you a better product at a price that doesn't require a home equity loan.

This isn't the cheapest option on the market (and certainly not the most expensive, either). It's the best value we know how to build.

We don't believe a useful safety feature should disappear just because a particular application doesn't require it. That's why BaseBox configurations may include features such as tempered insulated glass, low thresholds, non-combustible materials, smoke detection, fire extinguishers, and robust door hardware even where those features exceed the minimum requirements for the intended use.

Those features reflect how we choose to build the product. The permitted use and occupancy of any particular BaseBox depend on its configuration, intended use, installation, and the requirements of the local authority having jurisdiction.

Built Beyond the Minimum

INTEGRITY

We grew up in rural Missouri, the 'Show Me State'. A place where you say what you mean and you build what you promise. That's how we operate.

 DURABILITY

Steel frame. Mineral wool insulation. Double Pane Windows. Non-combustible materials. Built to last years, not seasons.

VALUE

Good construction doesn't have to be expensive. BaseBox exists because we believe that.

A base is where everything starts. A starting point. Something solid you build from.

That's exactly what this is. We didn't design BaseBox for one specific use — we designed it to be a solid, reliable structure that can be configured around what you need. Storage. A backyard workspace. A workshop that keeps the weather out. A creative studio. Equipment support for a remote property. A field office or temporary project space.

The box part? That's just honest. It's a steel box — well-insulated, well-built, and ready to work. We're not going to dress it up with a fancier name than it deserves.

Why BaseBox?

Your base. Your use.
That's the idea.
