BaseBox comes from the same place SwiftBox does — a straightforward belief that good structures shouldn't cost a fortune. We're BuildSwift Modular, a family business out of Santa Fe, New Mexico. My brother Caleb and I started this company in 2023 because we saw too many people priced out of quality construction. Between the two of us we have over 30 years in construction and design. We know how to build things that last, and we know what it feels like when something is over/underbuilt, overpriced, or both.

BaseBox was fully designed and engineered in-house. The manufacturing happens overseas — that's how we keep the price honest — but the design, the engineering, and the final quality check are ours. Every unit that ships has been reviewed by us before it leaves. We're not a marketplace. We're not a dropshipper. We built this product and we stand behind it.

Why Steel. Why This Price.
Most backyard studios are wood. Wood warps, rots, and burns. We chose steel because we've spent decades in construction and we know what holds up and what doesn't. We chose mineral wool insulation because it's non-combustible and performs. We chose a hinged fold-out design because it ships efficiently and sets up fast. We chose a mono-slope roof so it is easy to catch and divert rainwater if wanted. Every decision was made to give you a better product at a price that doesn't require a home equity loan.
This isn't the cheapest option on the market. It's the best value we know how to build.
